TGIF. Have you picked your pumpkins yet and been on a requisite hayride? Our house is outfitted in its Halloween finest, our costumes are all figured out and all that’s left to do is buy the candy (trust me, if I’d bought it any sooner, it’d be all gone by now). As you put the finishing touches on your own Halloween, be sure to find a spare moment for yourself and indulge something warm and toasty. If you’re a tea drinker (as we are), brew up a nice hot cup, put your feet up and inhale that wonderful aroma. If you happen to be in NYC, you might want to check out Starbucks Teavana Tea Bar on the Upper East Side. Opening its doors for the first time today, the tea bar will offer a variety of loose teas, premium blends and tea-infused goodies to soothe and invigorate the senses. Located at 1142 Madison Ave. at 85th Street, this hot spot is sure to become a destination as the weather turns colder. (And if you’re on the West Coast, you can look forward to the opening of another Teavana Tea Bar in Seattle next month.) But before we get ahead of ourselves, there’s still Halloween to celebrate, and that means tuning into what’s destined to be another kiddie TV holiday favorite. Curious George: A Halloween Boo Fest stars the mischievous little monkey in his first-ever Halloween special. During this animated, one-hour show, George gets caught up in the mystery of a troublesome ghost, all the while trying to come up with the perfect Halloween costume. Will George solve the mystery in time to go trick-or-treating? Curious George: A Halloween Boo Fest airs Monday, October 28th, so be sure to set your DVR.
