Know any new babies? A close friend and my sister-in-law each had their second babies this fall–both boys. While I’m thinking of all things blue, I have my eye out for new baby clothes that are stylish, yet practical (the last thing a new mom wants is an outfit with a label that reads “hand wash.”). If you consider yourself a baby couture expert, then you’ll relish that your neighborhood Target is now carrying the Petit Tresor layette line from October 31 through December 26. This lux collection hails from the ultra-chic L.A. boutique by the same name. So give the baby in your life the star treatment and you’ll be giving back, too. Ten percent of the purchase price will be given to Baby [&hellip

A freshly scrubbed child is my idea of banishing those bad-day blues. Changed too many stinky diapers? Cleaned up spit-up from the cat (again)? You and your nose deserve an aromatherapy treat before the day is out. And since kids can’t wash themselves (not yet anyway), I love to use bath products that make them smell like a bed of roses. After all, if I’m going to do the scrubbing, I might as well enjoy the experience. My True Nature’s line of kiddie bath products are so delightful, I actually look forward to tubby time. The 2-in-1 shampoo and bath wash is made from organic ingredients and works on even the most delicate skin. The cute characters on the bottles and the telltale names (Stinky [&hellip

One of the “great” joys of parenthood is checking your child for a fever. My own memories of having my temperature checked “the old fashioned way” landed me in a therapist’s chair many years later…just kidding, of course. But fevers are no laughing matter, especially when your baby is sick for the very first time. While there are plenty of thermometers out there that offer less invasive ways of testing, their accuracy is debatable. Half the time I wonder if I’m using the darn thing correctly…The Exergen TemporalScanner seeks to take the frustration out of temperature-taking. It works as an infrared device that scans a child’s forehead in just two seconds. Once you hear the beep, you’re done. Think your fidgeting toddler can cooperate now? [&hellip

Swaddling my daughters was something I never did quite right. While I consulted the Web and tried to follow instructions on how to create a ‘baby burrito’, it just didn’t seem to be working…seeing how they were still crying! TrueWomb is one product that aims to banish that insecurity for new moms by making swaddling as easy as 1-2-3. This sleep system is made up of different parts: the SwaddleTech Pouch, which lets a baby’s legs assume a fetal position when they’re at rest; a SecureSleeve that keeps her arms in place; and a ComfortWrap belt to keep her completely secure. Note: TrueWomb may take some getting used to, but before you know it, you’ll feel like you could swaddle your baby in your sleep. [&hellip

I remember fondly the days my little one played in her ExerSaucer. An extremely active baby who didn’t like to sit still for very long, she wasn’t one to sit on a playmat and play with blocks, even for a few minutes so I could fold some laundry.  She finally met her match once we invested in an ExerSaucer: a contained space where she could play and be on her feet at the same time..and I could actually get through a load of whites! And if she were a baby today, boy would she be in heaven with the latest incarnation, the ExerSaucer Jump & Learn. Now with up to 55 activities to keep your little one entertained, this model lets her jump, spin and [&hellip

When my younger daughter was a newborn, a pacifier was her best friend–and mine. Because she only seemed content when it was feeding time, I was desperate to find some way to comfort her (and my ears). Self-soothing was a lesson not easily taught, I quickly learned, and I wasn’t so keen on the idea of giving her a pacifier. (My older daughter hadn’t needed one, so it seemed to indicate some sign of failure on my part as a mother…yes, I was terribly hard on myself.) Today, I would have banished that mommy guilt in a flash if I’d had the MAM Perfect Pacifier on hand. This is the slimmest, most sleek pacifier around, with a nipple that’s only .09 inches thick. If you’re [&hellip

You’d have to be living under a rock not to know that October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. And yet while you may pass by pink-hued displays at the mall, you may not be aware of how you can do your part by supporting this worthy cause. Keep an eye out this month for two worthwhile purchases that caught our eye…Make like Reese Witherspoon and help Kiss Breast Cancer Goodbye with the Avon Lips for Life tote. 100 percent of the proceeds will go to benefit research on breast cancer. To help “pass the kiss on,” Avon and Reese are inviting women to send messages to their family and friends via an online widget shaped as a pair of talking lips. So, pay some lip [&hellip

Precious newborn skin is one of the joys of being a baby. It smells great, is buttery soft…how can you not just love every minute of snuggling close? I still relish stroking my little one’s cheeks…and she’s nearly 2 1/2! I can see why some moms choose to outfit their babies in clothing that’s made from natural fabrics, so I like to keep an eye out for companies that are dedicated to bringing high-quality to clothing stores. Enter BNature, a line of organic cotton clothing for newborns through age 2 that’s free of dyes, chemicals and other potentially harmful substances. Safety issues aside, this ensemble is ultra soft and beautifully designed in lush hues like wheat, pistachio and green tea (feeling eco-friendly yet?). The fall/winter [&hellip
