• Now that summer is in full swing, we’ve officially moved onto camp season. My older daughter has decided that she’s outgrown her lunch bag, so we’re in the market for something a bit more, shall we say, “sophisticated?” (read: middle school cool). While out shopping the other day, I came across some bento boxes, which seemed like the perfect upgrade to the lunchtime routine. But upon further investigation, I decided the plastic containers appeared a bit too flimsy, and figured they wouldn’t hold up to a rough-and-tumble camp day. So when I heard about PlanetBox, a line of stainless-steel, multi-compartment lunch boxes, I was determined to check it out. There’s so much to like about this product line…where do we start? Kids with fussy appetites (read: lots of little snacks to make up their meal) can get an easy handle on their food. Moms will love that it cleans up in a snap; simply pop out the compartments from the zip-up bag and into the dishwasher they go. Older kids will love that they can personalize their bags with decorative magnets that fit inside each compartment. Depending on the model you choose–Launch, Rover or Shuttle–you can pack a sizable meal or a light lunch. So, whether you’re eating Goldfish crackers and PB& J, or a green salad and apple slices, PlanetBox makes all those plastic baggies a thing of the past. Just save room for dessert!

In a Nutshell: Lunch time just got a whole lot more hip, with stylish bags that are practical and eco-friendly.
