    Lately I’ve been reading a lot about holiday gift-giving within big families, and each of these stories seems to have something in common: teenagers.     My 8-year-old has suddenly become a fan of wearing extra-long T-shirts. It all started this past summer when she took an acting workshop, and some of the older, middle school-aged girls came to class with shirts one size too big. But rather than wear them loose, they wore their shirts knotted in the back for a more fashionable, fitted look. I’m hardly one to encourage following the fold, but at least this particular look kept the kids from looking unkempt.
