Got any bathing baby beauties in your house? Well, then you’re in luck. 4moms is getting ready to launch its Cleanwater Collection of bathtime products, and is holding a giveaway. Every day from now until the line’s debut on June 15, the company will be awarding a winner with this new product destined to make tubtime more enjoyable for both you and your little one(s). Each recipient receives one Cleanwater Infant Tub, one Digital Spout Cover and one bath sponge.  Both the Infant Tub and the Spout Cover feature color-coded digital thermometers that show the water temperature at a glance. What’s neat about the Infant Tub is that it lets clean water flow in while dirty water flows out, while the bath sponge adds support for newborns. When your baby outgrows the Infant Tub, the Digital Spout Cover will protect her from any bumps and bruises on the faucet.

In a Nutshell: Bathtime just got a whole lot easier with this high-end tub and accessories. Enter to win the Cleanwater Collection giveaway today. Good luck!

There’s nothing I like more than a nice, long soak in the tub after a long, hard day. (Well, I can think of a few more things, but let’s keep things clean–literally!) In our old house, we had a claw footed tub that was the perfect place to wash away the day’s cares. And that was B.K. (before kids). Today, I’m lucky if I can manage a nightly shower without falling asleep. Perhaps my association with tub time as being “quiet time” dates back to when I was little. I fondly remember that  the bath was the ticket to all our childhood woes: temper tantrums (although I was told I was an angel with few bad moments), nasty head colds and, in the teen years, bad-mood busters (unfortunately, I was not immune to those). Today, I find baths to be the perfect soother for cranky kids who need a calming way to wind down after a tiring day. Because we are blessed –or is it cursed?–with extra sensitive skin, I have to be especially careful with the products I use on my girls. That’s why Organic Baby Bath Tea Bags from Nature Certified caught my eye. Made from 100-percent organic ingredients like oat flour and chamomile, they are especially kind on tender skin. One whiff of these tea bags and I was instantly transported to a calmer place. Now I can create my own spa at home, minus the clawed foot tub, of course. But you get the idea. And if you’ve got a fussy baby, a gentle bath steeped with these bags may be just the answer you’re looking for.

In a Nutshell: No matter if you’re big or small, tough days happen to us all. When it seems like the walls are closing in on you, it’s time to turn on the tub faucet, throw in a bag and breathe deeply.

Today, we said goodbye to being a baby and hello to the world of big girls. And it was all because of a raincoat. Before heading out to drive my almost 3-year-old to preschool this morning, we were greeted with a round of April showers and so that meant scouring the closet for a hooded jacket. I came across a hand-me-down polka dot slicker in size 3T and considered it. Surely she’s too little to fit this already, I mused. But because I have a clotheshorse in the making and lo and behold, it fit perfectly. As my daughter paraded around the room in her new gear, oblivious to my surprise, it hit me hard just how fleeting those days of wearing onesies and footed pajamas can be. Well, at least she can still smell like a baby, so I’m holding on to childhood a little bit longer with the Carter’s baby bath and body care line. Remember the old jingle, ‘If they could just stay little, ’til their Carter’s wear out?’ You can’t help but hum it when slathering on the soothing diaper cream or lathering wispy locks with baby shampoo. The scent is heavenly and all of the products in the line, including wipes, a body lotion and a unique liquid powder that I may just have to covet, are pediatrician-tested and hypoallergenic. We may not be able to stop time, but at least our noses can be fooled into feeling like we have.

In a Nutshell: Breathe deeply and inhale the scent of your little one for as long as she’ll let you.

When my husband and I took our young daughters on our annual summer vacation, there wasn’t a single piece of baby gear that we left behind: portable high chair, Pack ‘n Play, stroller, ExerSaucer…we were a regular traveling circus of kiddie equipment. There was, however, one item we just couldn’t bring along, and one that caused me more anxiety than it should have. Trying to bathe a young baby in a standard bath is like trying to dress a cat in doll clothes: cute idea, but they just don’t fit right. Keeping my little one upright with one slippery hand became a Herculean feat that I didn’t care to repeat day after day. Believe me when I say this was no vacation at the beach! How I longed for a tub that would fold up as neatly as her umbrella stroller and stow as easily as her porta crib. For today’s new moms, that wish is about to be granted. The Flexi Bath is a revolutionary product in the world of baby bathing that adapts a simple, yet effective design: a lightweight tub that fills up as easy as it folds up. Not only do we love its generously-sized rectangular shape and eye-catching colors, but it fits right inside a standard tub and drains with a gentle tug of the plug. If you’re packing this tub to go, you’ll love that it doubles as a storage bin, or you can fold it up and store it just as you would a flattened cardboard box. Now you’ve got more room for all those souvenirs…

In a Nutshell: Can’t fit a tub to go in your trunk? Don’t get in a lather; this one’s a perfect fit for any young tot. Just add bubbles.

A freshly scrubbed child is my idea of banishing those bad-day blues. Changed too many stinky diapers? Cleaned up spit-up from the cat (again)? You and your nose deserve an aromatherapy treat before the day is out. And since kids can’t wash themselves (not yet anyway), I love to use bath products that make them smell like a bed of roses. After all, if I’m going to do the scrubbing, I might as well enjoy the experience. My True Nature’s line of kiddie bath products are so delightful, I actually look forward to tubby time. The 2-in-1 shampoo and bath wash is made from organic ingredients and works on even the most delicate skin. The cute characters on the bottles and the telltale names (Stinky by Nature, for instance) are merely the icing on the cake and are actually a fun way to chat with my girls  (“What if a skunk really took a bath? Do you think he’d smell any better?”). And when I kiss my daughter goodnight and all I can smell is grapefruit, I’m invigorated to think I can do this all over again tomorrow. A mom can dream, can’t she?

In a Nutshell: End a not-so-great day on an up note. How can a sweet-smelling child whose ready for bed not put a smile on your face?

Question: what do you miss more now that your baby is all grown up? Those chubby legs or that precious new baby scent? Personally, I’m torn between the two…but I must say that a freshly scrubbed kid is fast becoming my own form of aromatherapy. Just as much as I love burying my nose into laundry that’s been hung outside to dry, inhaling the scent of my little girls straight from the bath is pure heaven. Maybe that’s why the new line of kids’ bath products from Kiss My Face has got me all in a lather. The packaging is eye-catching, featuring endangered specious that have adapted playful personalities like Walter the Whale and Chi Chi the Chimpanzee (we are partial to Walter in honor of my dad). And the scents? Not overpowering in the least and very refreshing; choose between Orange U Smart, Berry Smart or Scentsless. Because the collection is made with natural ingredients like green tea extract and is free of artificial colors, parabens and other bad-for-you stuff, you’ll like it even more. Kiss My Face Kids Collection includes Self-Foaming Hand Wash, Toothpaste, Toothpaste with fluoride, 2 in 1 Shampoo & Conditioner, Bubble Wash, Self Foaming Shampoo & Body Wash, Lip Balms and A Whale of a Soap.

In a Nutshell: Let your kids come clean with a collection of just-for-them products that will  make bathtime less of a chore.

I love kid things that resemble adult products, but in miniature. Think bite-size chocolate bars, Dixie-cup sized Haagen Daaz…yes, I realize these are all tasty treats, but after all, it is getting close to dinnertime. But there is a logical train of thought here: after a good meal, we head upstairs for bath time where my almost-6-year-old daughter must share her turf with her little 2-year-old sister. Not always a fun fest. Maybe that’s why I get such a kick out of the hoppop Bato Baby Bath. It’s a hoot to see this pint-sized tub, the perfect mirror image of our bathroom fixture, fit directly inside it. The sides are high enough that the little one gets to hang on to her own bath toys without her older sister hogging them. Plus, I like that she can stretch out in plenty of space without having to push her limbs up against a shelf to hold soap, etc. (I never understood the need for those; they can never hold everything. And besides, I have the bathroom floor for that.) And because the Bato Bath holds up to 50 lbs., I can plan on hanging on to this durable bath for a while…That is, unless my finicky toddler eats more than a handful of pasta. But that’s a story for another day.

In a Nutshell: Bathtime just got a whole lot more cute. Your kid in this tub is a photo opp just waiting to happen…
