How do you know you’ve just entered the home where a baby lives? The unmistakable smell of dirty diapers. That truly never occurred to me until the day my kids were fully potty-trained, and that all-too-familiar scent had finally left the air. Even the finest air fresheners could never rid that lingering odor, and diaper pails that claimed to trap that poop smell did a semi-decent job…until it was time to empty them. Well, we may have found a diaper disposal system that makes good on its word. tommee tippee 360 o sealer takes the stop, drop and close drill one step further; after you deposit the dirty diaper in the top, simply turn the dial to seal the deal, so to speak. (If your [&hellip

From what I’ve been hearing from my mom friends, it won’t be long before my 9-year-old is begging for a sleepover party. We’ve managed to successfully avoid this topic, and frankly, I’m just not ready for all the drama that comes along with it. While I don’t miss those long-ago 3 a.m. feedings, I sometimes can’t help long for the sight of that sweet little soul, so peaceful as she lay fast asleep in her crib back in the day. When the weather had turned chilly, Iwrapped her up in her comfy blankie and she was set for the night…until, of course,  she kicked off her covers and cried out for someone to come and comfort her. Because I didn’t trust myself to swaddle my [&hellip

I continue to be amazed by design innovation in baby products. Not unlike the technology advances in smartphones, tablets and other devices, the look becomes sleeker, the products credit-card thin. Following in these footsteps is the latest in high chair design, Mima moon chair (distributed by Muak Baby) is getting lots of early buzz. We got wind of the product that everyone will be talking about at next month’s ABC Expo, and think it will quickly join the ranks of  must-have baby gear. It’s one of those items that you can begin using right away: first as a newborn lounger (with a support pillow), next as a high chair for 6 months and up and then as a booster seat (simply by removing the upper [&hellip

The woman who runs a local cafe gave birth to her second son this past spring. Not one to let motherhood slow her down, she had soon returned to work and, much to my surprise, with her newborn in tow. Straight from the kitchen with a smile on her face, she emerged with her baby boy swaddled in a sling as she set food down in front of waiting diners. As I waited for my order, we chatted about how difficult it is, going from one to two, and I left impressed by how well she seemed to be managing. I also couldn’t help but notice the latest baby gear trend–the baby wrap–being put to good use. It’s a great way to keep a newborn [&hellip

When my 4-year-old was a toddler, finding a spot for her at the table sometimes posed a challenge. If we were barbequing on the deck, we alternated between a plastic booster that proved too wobbly and a fold-up seat that never seemed to open wide enough for her comfort. Now, if we’d been able to get our hands on the brand-new Svan Totseat, letting her sit with the rest of the family would have been a no-brainer. What makes this soft seat different from standard boosters is the extra fabric that can stretch over high-back seats. The fact that it folds flat so you can stash it in your diaper bag or purse makes it even more practical. Designed for ages 8-30 months, the Svan [&hellip

So, how many British baby boutiques do you think are furiously readying their shops in honor of the Royal Baby? You never know who might decide to walk into your store and purchase that special something for the most-watched baby in the world. It doesn’t matter that we have yet to catch a glimpse of that precious baby boy, but when the hospital doors finally open and the royal couple proudly emerges with their child, all eyes will be on that very bundle. And if Kate is like any other new mum, she’ll want to have her newborn dressed comfortably and not take any chances in him catching a chill in that rainy London weather. In fact, we think she’d rather prefer the Barefoot Dreams [&hellip

Next week, my older daughter will turn 9. When she was born, I was only able to hold her for a brief moment before she was whisked down the hall to the nursery (apparently, her temperature was down and she needed to warm up). Somehow, I felt like I was cheated out of those tender first bonding moments between mother and child. Because I have a few mom friends with newborns who also have older kids, I’ve been hearing about their guilt over not spending time with their own babies. “How can I enjoy my little one when I am busy reading stories/checking homework/making dinner?” For moms like these comes a new baby product unlike any other we’ve seen: the NuRoo Pocket. Upon first glance, [&hellip

In a few short months, the wait will be over. We’ll finally be able to “meet” Kate and William’s royal bundle of joy. As people around the world speculate on what name the couple will decide upon and who the godparents will be, our thoughts are focused on more “important” things: Like what stroller they’ll be using and what clothes the new babe will be dressed in. That being said, we turn our attention over to the royal nursery. If Kate just so happens to be one of our loyal readers (hey, don’t laugh; it could happen!), may we offer a suggestion? Bratt Decor’s Chelsea Darling line exudes an elegance like no other room decor we’ve seen. Not only does the antique silver finish on [&hellip

When I was pregnant with my first daughter, I knew I wanted an old-fashioned pram in which to parade my new little love around town. By the time my second daughter arrived on the scene, I had grown weary of the neutral-colored baby gear I had acquired along the way. Sure, a cream-colored bouncy seat may have fit into my traditional home decor, while a steel grey car seat meshed well with my car’s interior. But at the end of the day, I found everything to be a bit…oh, how can I put it? Bor-ing. If someone had told me that those first few months of life with a newborn would be filled with lots of cat-napping, diaper changes, rattle shaking, sleeping, bathing, feeding–did we [&hellip

Whenever it was time to feed my baby daughters, I was never without my Boppy. The donut-shaped nursing support pillow that made a name for itself as a must-have baby shower gift, this product got quite a bit of mileage over the years. But because I did not take it along with me whenever I left the house (Lord knows how much other baby gear I had to lug around!), I always felt the substitutes lacked the same comfort that this mommy security-type blanket offered; couch pillows and folded-over comforters just didn’t do the trick. So when I heard about the mom-invented Comfy Cradle, I knew this mompreneur was onto something. Designed by an Ohio mother of two who realized there must be a better [&hellip
