How many adorable baby outfits have been ruined by strained peas that didn’t quite make it into your little one’s mouth? Don’t blame your finicky eater–or your less-than-stellar spoon-feeding skills. It’s those bibs that don’t exactly cover as much terrain they should. We’re partial to DaBib, a generously sized catch-all bib that keeps baby food off your baby, especially when it doesn’t quite make it into her tightly closed mouth. What makes this bib different from your basic ones is its soft collar that catches leaks and drips before they become a stain. The stay-put collar also prevents your little one from trying to yank the bib off over her head…and you know what that’s like. DaBib comes in two styles: DaHugs, a terrycloth bib [&hellip

How fast can your baby outgrow her Onesie? I remember receiving layette for my girls when they were first born, checking the label for the size and thinking, “That one won’t last too long.” Because moms are forever doing laundry as it is, it helps to lighten your load with clothing that will last for a few seasons’ worth. And if you happen to have kids still in diapers, you know all too well how many Onesies you go through in one week alone. Cutting down on those insurmountable colors and whites comes the Disney Cuddly Bodysuit. With an extra row of snaps, these bodysuits will get your baby through the better part of the toddler years before they wear out. On hot summer days, [&hellip

When it comes to gift-giving, I’m a stickler for presentation. I always notice a package smartly wrapped with a satin bow that looks like it belongs in a young girl’s hair, or a gift bag that’s fashionably stuffed with crinkle cut shredded paper (how very eco-friendly). So when you’re sitting ringside at a baby shower, as so many of us are at some point, you tend to zero in on the presents that stand out from the rest of the pack. What better way is there to select such a gift than one whose wrapping cleverly disguises its contents until further investigation? One present that really piques our interest is the Baby Bunch, a surefire companion to the ever-popular diaper cake. Nestled inside a floral [&hellip

There’s just no getting around it: with the onset of hazy, hot and humid weather, I’m back to bathing my girls nearly every night–and that means more laundry for Mommy! When I take one look at my 7-year-old’s face after she steps off the school bus, her hair matted to her forehead and her cheeks as red as garden tomatoes, I can’t help but feel like a bath is the greatest cure-all to a hectic day. (And let’s not even get started on my preschooler whose dirty, grass-stained knees alone deserve a good scrubbing…) Since my date with the washing machine is more likeĀ  a permanent relationship (sigh), I figure I should at least be washing towels that get the job done: keep my kids [&hellip

Before long, we’ll be celebrating Father’s Day and in my mind, the day was not complete without a new necktie for Dad. I have fond memories of my own father proudly wearing whatever style we stumbled upon while department store shopping. No matter how wild the color or crazy the print, he always smiled graciously and donned it the next time he went to work. Many years have passed since my dad was employed, and this year marks my first Father’s Day without him. I know if he were here, he would surely put the Tie Snug to good use. For those men who are forever adjusting their neckties, this accessory makes tie-wearing a little less awkward by ensuring a secure fit. If your dad [&hellip

Outside our kitchen window, a new family of sparrows have created a home for themselves. While my husband installed a birdhouse on top of a high post, it was the mother bird who did the real work of feathering her nest. Each day, she diligently flew back and forth, returning to the house with a beak full of grass and small leaves. My daughters marveled at her dedication and tirelessness…and I was reminded how my own job as a parent isn’t too different from the mother bird’s. Whether clothing our kids or feeding them a nourishing meal, I am trying to be more mindful of taking pleasure in the simple things in life: a warm bath, a good book and a snuggly pair of PJs [&hellip

It never hurts to have another friend and when you’re a kid, you’ve got an entire lifetime to make new ones, wherever you go. A friend doesn’t have to be a person, but even a cool plaything that you can tote with you. Shoulder Buddies may just be the next best portable pal. Bearing somewhat of a resemblance to those Trolls dolls that we grew up with in the 1980s, these pint-sized creatures have spiky up-dos that kids will love to brush or simply flick with their fingers. And, like any good friend, Shoulder Buddies have a magnetic personality…almost literally. These figures are embedded with a magnet and come with a Magic Coin that kids can place on their shoulder, hat or backpack. Then they [&hellip

What woman hasn’t had a love affair with a dress? When I was in college, a blue sequin tank dress from Bloomingdale’s that had been marked down to a mere $9.98 made me the belle of the ball (at least in my mind). When I got married, I had my eye on an elegant gown from Priscilla of Boston, and after locating a local dress shop that carried this cream puff of a dress, I was in pure heaven. Fast forward to my younger daughter’s christening, and it was a dress at an end-of-season sale in Newport, R.I., that caught my eye. These days, I am more prone to splurging on clothing for my girls than myself, selfless mom that I am…or maybe it’s just [&hellip

I am one hot mama…at least it says so on my cellphone. (And no, I did not program it myself!). One of my favorite things to observe about moms these days is not how long it takes for them to acknowledge their child’s incessant pleas, but more innocently, what they are wearing. Did motherhood mean sacrificing their sense of fashion altogether, or can you see little glimmers of the Woman Before the Kids shining through? A floral printed scarf tied haphazardly here, a stylish pair of ballet flats there…it’s refreshing to see how many women try their best at maintaining their image–or maybe they are just masters in covering up spit-up. Nevertheless, new moms who fear they’ll have to abandon their style with the adoption [&hellip

When I was growing up, all my gal pals signed up for sleep-away camp (my mom’s idea of camp was daily trips to the beach and, if it rained, the library). I could never count on my friends to write to me during the summer; they were probably too busy making macrame potholders and learning how to cannonball correctly, anyway. When it comes to communicating, today’s kids, of course, have it much easier; with a few simple clicks, they can fire off a text and a photo of how they’ve decorated their bunk faster than they can write “Wish you were here.” Still, it’s always nice to receive a piece of “real” mail every now and then, and a new stationery line from oh my [&hellip
