• slumber party: aden+anais cozy plus sleeping bag

From what I’ve been hearing from my mom friends, it won’t be long before my 9-year-old is begging for a sleepover party. We’ve managed to successfully avoid this topic, and frankly, I’m just not ready for all the drama that comes along with it. While I don’t miss those long-ago 3 a.m. feedings, I sometimes can’t help long for the sight of that sweet little soul, so peaceful as she lay fast asleep in her crib back in the day. When the weather had turned chilly, Iwrapped her up in her comfy blankie and she was set for the night…until, of course,  she kicked off her covers and cried out for someone to come and comfort her. Because I didn’t trust myself to swaddle my baby daughter correctly, I was never sure of what would improve her quality of sleep, not to mention mine. For today’s moms, it’s a no-brainer, as the category of sleep sacks has expanded to include a variety of offerings, including the new line from aden+anais. Their first-ever cotton muslin Cozy Plus Sleeping Bag boasts a TOG rating of 2.5. (If you don’t consider yourself a bedding industry, that means translates to ultra warmth.) These sleeping garments offer babies the added comfort they crave for a restful night’s sleep; no more squirming and wriggling out of their blankets. Moms will appreciate the convenience of side and bottom zippers for easy on and off, not to mention the retained softness with each machine-wash. We’re in love with the subtly stylish prints in names like Night Sky Starburst, Make Believe Starburst and Pirate Cove. Still, we want to know: Are these available in big-kid sizes, too? A mom can only dream…

In a Nutshell: Sweet dreams are made of this. Here’s to starting your newborn off on a sleep routine that involves less waking and more shut-eye…for everyone.
